Managing Existing Users' Access to REDCap

This page covers how to extend, revoke, or update access for users who already have access to one or more databases on REDCap Safe Haven and/or REDCap Anonymised.


How do I extend a user’s access to a REDCap database?

For external users, access can only be extended by submitting a new Digital Visitor Agreement (DVA). The process is the same as the one outlined in the External User Onboarding page

For internal users, extensions should be requested by emailing the CAM:IDE helpdesk (helpdesk@camide.cam.ac.uk).


How do I revoke a user’s access to a REDCap database?

To revoke a user's access, please email the CAM:IDE helpdesk at helpdesk@camide.cam.ac.uk with the user's name, CRSid, and the database(s) they should be removed from.


How do I change a user's role on a REDCap database?

Please email the CAM:IDE helpdesk helpdesk@camide.cam.ac.uk with the user's CRSid and details of the changes required.
